55. Instagramming Startups: Why Everyone Wants to Be a Founder, But Not Everyone Gets Funded by VCs | Przemek Jurgiel - Żyła
[This podcast is being hold in Polish 🇵🇱]
We've recently observed that IT companies are more likely to fire an employee than hire a new one.
At the same time, our Zima inbox is bursting with CVs.
But then, a Gartner report states that by 2027, half of the companies that laid off employees due to AI implementation will rehire people for similar positions.
It's likely that all of these companies made the same mistake: They replaced work requiring human judgment and experience with AI, leaving them with nothing more than a tool for searching for information.
We spoke with Przemek Jurgiel-Żyła, a VC investor and serial founder with over 15 years of business experience, about this paradox of skills in the labor market and the situation in the startup market seeking VC funding.
Listen to the podcast where you feel most comfortable.
In this conversation, you'll learn:
- How do VC founders view startup development – what is completely useless today?
- In what areas and to whom can VC funds realistically help?
- How do funds assess startup team composition in terms of competencies and reaching target customers?
- Why, despite the Instagram trend for solo founders, teams perform best in the startup market?
- What competencies cannot be replaced by AI?
- How to build a competitive advantage in the age of AI?
- How do VC investors actually use LLMs at work?
⚒️ Tools we use:
- ChatGPT: support in generating content and editing texts, searching for concepts, organizing statements
- Perplexity AI: tool for quick research and verification of information, searching for sources, pulling a short summary of long reports/articles
- Mid Journey: creation of graphics, illustrations and visualizations of personas - the quality of this tool has improved strongly recently, and we are fine-tuning better prompts
- Luma AI: creating videos with the help of artificial intelligence
